当時のアメリカで、映画の主題歌として作られた曲。
ネズミが人間と街を襲うパニック映画として作られたが、主人公の孤独な少年と、人々から忌み嫌われているネズミ集団のボス「ベン」との友情も描かれている。
なんてったってマイケルの声が美しすぎて優しすぎるから、もう。その歌声に心が洗われる。切なくもなるんだけどね。。
